What does Murphy require before a pergola goes up?
A permit under the city's arbor and patio cover fee line, two scaled plan sets, and a freestanding pergola set at least five feet off the side and rear lot lines. Every contractor on the job has to be registered with Murphy, and the inspections are booked through the city's online request form.
