What We Build
01
Floor-to-ceiling or partial-wall built-ins around fireplaces, in offices, dens, and bonus rooms. Painted or stained finish, integrated lighting available.
02
Reclaimed wood, painted, or stained mantels. Shiplap, board-and-batten, or stone-clad surround integration. Designed to your firebox proportions and the room scale.
03
Bench + hook wall + storage cubbies — sized to your family, your space, and your daily flow. Coat hooks, shoe storage, and overhead cabinets coordinated as one design.
04
Built-in seating under windows or in kitchen nooks. Hinged-lid storage, drawer storage, or fixed bench depending on what you need underneath.
05
Crown, base, casing, chair rail, picture-frame wainscoting, board-and-batten accent walls. Profiles selected to match the rest of the house, not pulled from a one-size catalog.
06
Custom closet build-outs — primary, secondary, pantry. Shelving + hanging + drawer combinations designed around what you actually own and how you actually use it.
The i30 Approach
The piece is designed to your room — your ceiling height, your trim, your wall breaks, your existing finishes. You see the design and finish samples before anything gets cut, and you approve the scope in writing before deposit.
Recent Project

Older brick ranch — every window opening was slightly different, so each cedar board-and-batten shutter pair was site-templated rather than shop-cut. Mid-build the crew identified existing framing that needed a solution-fit instead of the original plan; pricing held at the original quote.

Carpentry FAQs
Off-the-shelf is sized to a catalog. Custom is sized to your room — your ceiling height, your trim, your floor plan, your stuff. We measure, design, draw, and build to fit your specific opening. The finished piece looks like it was always part of the house, not bolted in afterward.
We design it. Bring a Pinterest board or a rough sketch if you have one; we’ll work from your style preferences and the room. You see the design (proportions, profile choices, finish samples) and approve it before we cut a single board.
Most single-piece built-ins (a bookcase wall, a mantel surround, a window seat) run 1–2 weeks on-site once materials arrive. Larger scopes (full mudroom + closet system + trim package across a house) run longer. Lead time on custom doors and specialty hardware varies; we lock the schedule when materials are confirmed.
Both are options. Painted (typically poplar substrate, MDF for non-load-bearing faces) gives you a clean modern look; stained (oak, walnut, white oak) shows the grain and ages differently. The right call depends on the room style and the look you want. We bring finish samples to the site walk.
Usually yes — we either source a stock profile that matches or have it shop-milled if the original is unusual. The match is rarely 100% (older wood, weathering) but the visual cohesion is what matters. We’ll be straight about what level of match is realistically achievable at the site walk.
Yes — exterior trim, soffit and fascia, porch column wraps, board-and-batten siding, gable detail work. Karson (the founder) personally has hands-on experience with exterior carpentry in North Texas conditions. Treated lumber, marine-grade fasteners, and proper flashing detail are standard scope on anything exposed to weather.
