Real i30 Project — Reference

Real build, real inputs. Rural site, sloped grade, Hunt County clay, and a same-day turnaround all factored into this specific number — and every project moves on its own inputs. Use the per-LF and per-SF standards above as a starting band; the case study shows what one specific scope actually looked like. Your walkway will be quoted on the site, materials, and finish choices we walk together.

Common Cost Questions
Standard 4 in broom-finished patio is $14/SF over 300 SF (with a $4,500 minimum for smaller patios). Stamped concrete runs $24/SF. Reinforced (rebar grid) is $17/SF. Stained and sealed decorative finish is $22/SF. All-in pricing — labor, materials, forms, finishing, control joints, normal cleanup, and one-year workmanship warranty.
Driveway extensions and parking pads run $16/SF with a $5,500 minimum. Normal residential drive flatwork. Apron at the city right-of-way and any city inspection / permit work is line-itemed separately.
Rebar is a proper structural grid sized to slab dimensions and soil-movement load; mesh is a single thin layer of welded wire that mostly just helps crack-control. In North Texas clay soil, slabs without proper rebar tend to crack and heave within a few years. The $17/SF reinforced slab vs $14/SF standard is paying for that long-term structural performance.
Walkable in 24–48 hours, driveable for a passenger vehicle at ~7 days, full strength at 28 days. Heavy loads (trucks, trailers, equipment) should wait the full 28 days. We give you a written cure schedule at handoff.
Yes — line-itemed at $6/SF with a $2,750 minimum. Demo, haul-off, and sub-grade prep all included so you get one contract for the full sequence.
Black-clay (vertisol) soils common across DFW shrink and swell dramatically with moisture changes. That movement is what cracks slabs poured on bad base. Our standard scope includes proper sub-grade compaction, engineered base material, rebar at calculated spacing, and saw-cut control joints. You're paying for what's under the slab as much as what's on top.
