What materials do you use for pergolas?
We primarily build with grade-selected cedar, sealed during installation for weather resistance. We also work with aluminum pergola systems for maximum durability and minimal maintenance. We bring material samples to the consult.
Can you add electrical to a pergola or covered patio?
Yes. We can include electrical rough-in for ceiling fans, outlet boxes, and lighting circuits as part of the build - everything is coordinated in one scope so you don't have to hire an electrician separately.
Do pergolas require permits in DFW cities?
It depends on the municipality and structure size. Attached pergolas almost always require permits. We assess permit requirements for your city upfront and handle the filing if needed.
What's the difference between a pergola and a covered patio?
A pergola has an open lattice roof that provides partial shade but is not fully weather-resistant. A covered patio has a solid or translucent roof panel that blocks rain. We can walk you through both options and help you decide based on your goals.
