From Our Clients
“We have a large back patio that's been unusable from June through September because there's zero shade. I looked into different options and decided on a cedar pergola after talking with i30 Builders. They came to the consultation with actual wood samples so I could see the difference between cedar grades, explained why they seal during installation rather than leaving it for later, and gave me a real design sketch — not a napkin drawing. The pergola has been up since July and it looks like it's been there forever. We've already had two neighbors ask for their number.”
Common Questions
We build with Trex, TimberTech AZEK, and pressure-treated lumber. At the consult, we bring material samples and discuss the tradeoffs - composite costs more upfront but requires almost no maintenance compared to wood.
Yes. Decks require permits in most DFW municipalities. We handle the permit application, schedule structural inspections, and get final city sign-off.
We dig footings below the frost line and size them to your soil bearing capacity. For expansive clay soils common in Rockwall and Kaufman counties, we use deeper footings with proper diameter to prevent heave.
Yes. We can include electrical rough-in for low-voltage deck lighting, post cap lights, outlet boxes, and ceiling fan mounting on covered portions - all coordinated during the build.
